Historical Research

Alexandra Hewitt

I work with organisations to make heritage accessible using digital technology. I have a PhD in History from the University of Birmingham and my thesis focused on reconstructing William Shakespeare’s townhouse in Stratford-upon-Avon, New Place. I have a background in heritage and museums, as well as digital engagement. Recent projects include a report on digital collecting for the Museum of London, an online collections audit with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and digital modelling with the Weald and Downland Living Museum. My work seeks to turn academic research into accessible, exciting and tangible experiences.
